Children's Church

Nursery, toddler, pre-K, K5 classes, and junior Church (1st - 6th Grade) are provided during the Sunday morning and evening worship hours. There are Sunday evening classes for teens as well. There are opportunities for Bible lessons, crafts, snacks, Bible memory, and so much more.

Barrow County Christian Academy

The school began in 1980. It is a K5 through 12th grade academy. The staff are members of Whistleville Christian Church. They have a love for God and this ministry.

B.C.C.A. exists to provide a Bible-based curriculum and to reinforce the godly values of the Christian home.

Youth Program

Youth events are scheduled monthly for a variety of ages. Events include activities such as retreats, fishing, camping, bowling, movies, mall trips, lock-ins, Sunday school classes, Tuesday youth classes, Vacation Bible school, mission trips, summer camp, and more. Schedules are provided in the church bulletins.

Adult Sunday School

We have two adult Sunday school classes. One is taught by our senior minister. It is designed for those who need to study basic Christianity. The other class covers a variety of topics each quarter and is taught by several men in our congregation. Lessons are designed in such a way as to give Biblical principles for Christian living. Adults will hear Biblical instruction on topics such as moral living, money management, family training, personal growth, sound doctrine, and more.

Children's Sunday School

Nursery through 12th grade classes are provided. Each class is designed with the age or grade in mind. The curriculum is suited toward youth needs.

This ministry transports children and adults to and from church on Sundays. Buses and Vans serve Barrow County and beyond. This ministry also provides a meal and conducts youth classes on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm.

Every Wednesday at 7:00 pm we have a pot-luck meal. This is our family hour. After the meal we are led in a devotion by one of our church members. Choir practice begins at 6:20 pm

Individuals wanting to learn more about God, Christ, church, salvation, and Christianity can do so in the comfort of their own homes. Members of our church are more than willing to come at your convenience and spend one hour a week in Bible study. This informative, easy to understand course usually takes 5-7 weeks.

Old Fashioned Camp Meeting

Every fourth weekend in October our church, along with Lester Road Christian Church in Atlanta, sponsors a weekend of outstanding preaching and singing. The camp meeting is held on the grounds of North Georgia Christian Camp in the beautiful mountains of Clarksville, Ga. Christians as far north as Delaware attend.

Service Opportunities

An individual looking to serve God can do so in a variety of ways at Whistleville. Church members have opportunities to prepare meals, prepare communion, sing in the choir, assist in the Bus ministry, teach, maintain grounds, travel on mission trips, participate in evangelistic efforts, and so much more.
